What: Master Ski Clinic Weekend. The Overlander Ski Club is very excited to host a weekend of fitness and technique improvement for our masters skiers. A masters skier is a cross country skier with some experience who is over 25 years old.  At the camp we will be offering:

  • expert instruction in Classic or Skate technique at your skill level.
  • video recording and review of your ski skills.
  • opportunities to meet like-minded skiers.
  • a whole lot of fun on snow.

Where: Overlander Ski Club

When: Saturday January 20th 9:00am-11:30pm and Sunday January 21st 9:30am-11:30am

Why: take your skiing to the next level while meeting other masters skiers.

You will be asked to self-identify your level as Beginner (little previous experience on skis), Intermediate (are able to manage green terrain with some confidence including uphill and downhill skills), Advanced (able to ski with confidence on most terrain, looking for fine tuning and improvement of your skiing maneuvers.

The first session will start at 9:00 in the Day Lodge with a welcome, and an overview of events to come.  Each morning will consist of two on snow sessions with instruction, drills and video analysis from our coaches. You will pick a discipline for the weekend- either skate or classic, and stick with it for both sessions.

Roy Davidson

I really began cross country skiing in my adult years after having moved to 100 Mile House, BC.  With enrolling our daughters in the BC Rabbit Program, there was a need for coaches, and what better way to learn the sport than to become a coach.  I jumped full on into it,  and in 1997 I became a certified coach in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). I have spent the years since coaching youth in ski development programs in 100 Mile House and Kamloops. In 2018 I began to teach adults and became a level 1 certified cross country ski instructor through CANSI, the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors.  Cross country skiing is my winter passion, and I enjoy bringing my experience to teaching people how to best enjoy it.  Presently I coach in the youth ski program, and instruct adult ski lessons at Overlander Ski Club.

Lisa Palechuk

Lisa Palechuk has been teaching Nordic skiing at Overlander Ski Club for the last 18 years.  Prior to moving to Kamloops Lisa taught Nordic, alpine and telemark skiing in Edmonton.  She has coached in the Jack Rabbit Program, and
