Our family-friendly destination is a winter playground for anyone who loves sunshine and great snow. Breathe in crisp mountain air and glide through over 60 km of scenic, expertly groomed cross-country ski trails. Whether you’re here for a peaceful morning ski, an afternoon snowshoe, or a moonlit adventure under the lights, our trail system has something for everyone.
Take in the fresh air while exploring this fabulous network of trails. Skiers of all ages will appreciate our family-friendly atmosphere, strategically placed maps with difficulty ratings, and welcoming community vibe.
- Location: 25 km south of Kamloops
- Elevation: Day Lodge – 1315 m; Trails – 1270 m to 1410 m
- Season: Late November/Early December to Late March/Early April (weather dependent)
- Grooming: Classic and skate skiing trails are expertly groomed and track set regularly; grooming updates posted daily on our Facebook page.
- Facilities: Large heated day lodge, new heated washrooms, shelters, outhouses, warm-up huts, and a terrain park for kids of all ages
- Hours of Operation: Weekends: 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Weekdays: 9:00 am to 9:00 p.m. Rental shop closes 30 minutes prior to closing time. Holiday hours may vary, check our Facebook page to confirm
Dog Trails
Stake Lake offers 5 kms of dedicated of dog-friendly ski and snowshoe trails across the road, the perfect way to get some exercise with your furry friend!
- All dog trails users (both members and non members) must check in at the ticket booth
- Dog trail users must pay the day-use fee
- The trails are a one-way loop beginning to your left when entering the trail system
- The trails are off-leash
- Please pick-up after your dog, there is a garbage bin beside the outhouse
- These are busy trails, we kindly ask that owners ensure their dogs are friendly and have excellent recall
Trail Highlights
- Night Skiing: 7 km of lit trails for evening skiing, with lodge open until 9:00 pm on many nights
- Dog Trails: 5 km of dog-friendly ski trails across the road, plus a dog-friendly snowshoe trail; all users must check in at the ticket booth before use
- Snowshoe Trails: 21 km of designated routes, plus 15 km of Adventure Trails
- Mike Dunn Terrain Park: A ski playground for kids (and kids at heart)
- Shelters & Outhouses: Located along various trails for comfort and convenience
- Race Facilities: Warm-up and timing huts available for events
Before You Go
- Trail Passes: Required for all users, available for purchase onsite.
- Equipment Rentals: Affordable rentals for skiing and snowshoeing
- Weather, Grooming & Conditions: Check our Weather, Trail Reports and Webcams pages before heading out
- Dogs: Not permitted on regular ski or snowshoe trails during ski season; must use designated dog trails and pick up after your pet
- Bikes & Vehicles: Bikes are not allowed on the ski trails during ski season; vehicle access restricted year-round except for maintenance
