Once again we have included kids races as part of the Overlander marathon event. Kids can skate or use classic technique. All skiers are eligible for draw prices donated by our sponsors.
And.....KIDS SKI FREE!!
Age categories (age on race day):
7 & under : 1.5 km
8 to 10 : 3.5 km
11 to 13 : 3.5 km
14 to 17 : 10 km
Method of Registration:
Registration will be on-line via Zone 4, but please note there will be NO REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY. The registration link from the Marathon web page will be active the week of Dec. 17/07, please check back.
Registration fees:
No fees for 2008. All kids 17 and under ski FREE!
Start time:
10am for all kids 13 and under
11:10am for 14 to 17 (they ski with the adults in the 10 km race)
Race package pick up:
Saturday, January 26 @ Runners Sole between 3 and 6pm
Sunday January 27 @ Stake Lake between 8 and 9am
Race Course:
Please check maps in the lodge for kids 13 and under. The 14 to 17 year olds will ski one full 10 km loop. This map is posted on our website (part of marathon page under “events”).
